Description

Are you an accounting professional ready to bring your technical depth and operational skills to a role with true autonomy? Bon Voyage Travel (BVT), a part of the arrivia family of brands, is expanding our accounting team in Tucson. We are seeking a Staff Accountant II who has mastered the foundational ledger, values precision, and wants to drive impact across our financial operations.

Unlike a traditional, siloed corporate accounting role, this position offers full-cycle exposure. You will play a vital part in our strategic monthly close while actively supporting key accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. If you thrive under general supervision, love to take ownership of your day-to-day workflow, and carry a team-first mentality, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the Ledger & Close:
Prepare and post monthly journal entries, make account adjustments, and drive the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Full-Cycle

    Collaboration:

Support critical accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions to maintain seamless operational cash flow.
  • Deep-Dive Reconciliations:
Perform comprehensive bank, credit-card, and general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring full compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Data & Audit Analysis:
Investigate account discrepancies, prepare financial reports for management review, and assist external auditors by providing clear work papers and documentation.
  • Process Improvement:
Actively recommend process enhancements to increase speed, efficiency, and accuracy across our accounting systems.
What We’re Looking For
  • Professional

    Experience:

3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Education:

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Core

    Skills:

Strong knowledge of GAAP, excellent attention to detail, and top-tier organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Proficiency:
High comfort level with personal computers, MS Office (especially advanced Excel), and ERP/accounting systems.
  • Work Style:
An independent worker who exercises sound judgment, handles multiple deadlines under pressure, and knows exactly when to proactively raise issues to leadership.
Benefits
  • Exceptional Career Growth:
Your path for advancement is clear and supported by experienced mentors.
  • Amazing Travel Perks:
Access exclusive rates and deep discounts because we want you to experience exactly what we sell.
