Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

Our client, in the healthcare industry is in need for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a contract basis! This opportunity is ideal for someone who is comfortable handling high-volume invoice entry, maintaining organized electronic records, and ensuring timely payment processing. The role calls for strong attention to detail, accuracy in account coding, and confidence working within Great Plains.

Responsibilities:

- Enter vendor invoices into Great Plains Dynamics with a high level of speed and accuracy

- Review invoice details and assign correct account codes before processing

- Maintain electronic filing systems so payment records and supporting documents remain organized and accessible

- Assist with ACH payments and check run preparation in alignment with established deadlines

- Verify invoice information and resolve basic discrepancies by coordinating with internal teams or vendors

- Support day-to-day accounts payable activities while helping keep payment workflows efficient and compliant

Requirements

- At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support role

- Hands-on experience with invoice coding and payment processing

- Familiarity with ACH transactions and check run procedures

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains is preferred, or other ERP systems

- Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail

- Ability to organize electronic documents and manage multiple priorities effectively
