Tax Accountant

A well-established public accounting firm in Tucson is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join its collaborative Tax Department. This position will prepare a variety of tax returns, support tax-planning activities, and serve as a trusted resource for clients and internal team members.

• Prepare individual, business, trust, estate, and gift tax returns
• Complete multi-state filings
• Conduct quarterly tax planning for businesses and individuals
• Review financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy
• Research and resolve tax questions and compliance issues
• Communicate with federal, state, and local taxing authorities
• Partner with clients and colleagues to ensure timely, accurate filings

• CPA or Enrolled Agent license, or actively pursuing licensure
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
• At least five years of tax-preparation experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
• Proficiency with Excel, Quick Books, Microsoft Office, and PDF software
• Tax-preparation software experience preferred
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and accurately in a paperless environment
