The Facilities Manager will coordinate the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture (CAPLA) building usage and maintenance. The position is responsible for maintaining clear and coordinated communication between UA Facilities Services, the Office of Public Safety, CAPLA Building Monitors, and all faculty, staff, and students. The position is responsible for initiating and ensuring completion of building repairs within set budgets.
The Facilities Manager will work with Administrators and School Directors to handle space allocation for faculty and staff offices and student studio space.

Duties & Responsibilities General- Act as the Building Manager for CAPLA's in four buildings.
- Coordinate submission of Facilities Management service requests.
- Coordinate building security including access provisioning.
- Coordinate monthly inspection of safety and first aid equipment with Safety and Access Management team.
- Participating in annual safety review of buildings.
- Evaluate and propose facilities upgrades to instructional and office spaces.
- Coordinate space allocation of studio space assignments and faculty office assignments.
- Coordinate the summer and winter cleanout of studio spaces.
- Develop and maintain continuity of operations and safety documentation and policies.
- Write proposals to support facilities improvements or grant applications.
- Ensure the college is following all university safety and building policies and procedures.
- Represent CAPLA by serving on committees.
- Provide guidance with the College's leadership related to the CAPLA buildings.
- Serve as the liaison between Facilities Management including custodial services.
- Work with event Coordinators to support events.
- Provide on-site coordination of facilities during events, troubleshooting any facilities issues that arise to maintain a seamless experience for attendees.
- Work with event coordinator to provide building access.
- Work to ensure the facility needs of the lab are maintained.
- Work with Materials Lab to set up studio spaces and classrooms.
- Work with Materials Lab to build the furniture needed for offices, studios and classrooms.
- Ability to communicate effectively with UA Facilities, Building Monitors, the Safety and Access Management Team.
- Knowledge of studio spaces and classroom setup.
- Knowledge of continuity of operations.
- Knowledge of University policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- 1 year of relevant work experience may be required.
