The College of Education Dean's Office seeks a .49 FTE position for an Administrative Associate.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, have excellent writing and verbal communication skills, and have a professional demeanor.

Also, the incumbent should be able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and possess proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Serve as a resource and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new staff hires, including provisioning and orientation to college processes and procedures.

* Assist with coordinating college and unit events, including meetings, managing logistics, preparing and sending invitations, room reservations, catering, and monitoring outcomes.

* Support Assistant to the Dean with financial transactions.

* Assist with administrative processes and resolve issues independently using knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.

* Process financial transactions utilizing the appropriate systems.

* Support graduate student offer letters and hiring process.

* Maintain the College listservs for faculty and staff.

* Assist with special projects as assigned, particularly alumni relations, marketing, and recruitment.

* Staff office coverage for the Dean's Office.

* Additional duties as assigned.

* Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team-oriented environment.

* Ability to multitask, with an openness to re-prioritizing to meet the needs of the college and department.

* Excellent organizational skills.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Demonstrated ability to communicate challenging topics to a variety of individuals.

Minimum Qualifications

* High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.

* Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience processing transactions in UAcess Financial.

* Experience assisting with the coordination of events and meetings.
