Mail Clerk – Tucson Electric Power

Tucson Electric Power is seeking a Mail Clerk to support mail services, including incoming, outgoing, and internal mail, as well as UPS, Fed Ex, and other parcel deliveries. The role requires maintaining proper mailing procedures, equipment operation, and secure handling of postal meters and records.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, process, and distribute incoming, outgoing, and internal mail, including UPS and Fed Ex deliveries.
  • Maintain proper mailing procedures and equipment operations, ensuring the security of postal meters and accurate record maintenance.
  • Operate office equipment (copiers, fax machines, calculators, personal computers).
  • Answer phones, route calls, and take messages as required.
  • Photocopy, collate, and sort documents.
  • Index, classify, code, file, and retrieve manual records using alphabetical and/or numerical filing systems.
  • Update and maintain reporting systems.
  • Follow written procedures or oral instructions pertaining to the assigned area.
  • Perform work safely and efficiently in accordance with Company practices and procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid up‑to‑date Arizona driver's license.
  • Mail room and/or package delivery experience preferred.
  • Verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math calculations.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with fellow workers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Deal with others in a tactful, courteous, and business‑like manner.
  • Neatness and accuracy in completing assigned tasks.
  • Learn and retain assignments with appropriate training.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness and responsibility for environmental considerations.
