Administrative Assistant - Privacy (Temporary)
Provides administrative and programmatic support to assist with the daily operations of the University of Arizona's Privacy Office. Provides general administrative functions and assistance, which may include communicating with internal and external stakeholders, preparing documents and reports, compiling records, organizing and maintaining information, composing correspondence and other documents. The position receives and responds to routine privacy-related inquiries; formats, updates, organizes, and maintains documents and records under established procedures;
and performs other activities to support the department. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Provides general office support. Responds to routine questions using established information and refers questions requiring interpretation or additional assistance to the appropriate staff member. Enters and updates information in departmental databases, spreadsheets, and other tracking tools. Creates, organizes, and maintains electronic files; checks records for completeness and supports accurate retrieval and retention of information. Compiles basic information from established sources and assists with routine resource updates when assigned.
Privacy program support. Gains understanding of applicable federal, state, and international privacy related laws, regulations, and accreditation standards. Provides routine administrative support for the maintenance and annual review of University privacy policies and procedures under detailed direction. Other duties as assigned.
Basic knowledge of general office practices and standard administrative procedures. Ability to communicate routine information clearly and courteously in person, by telephone, and in writing. Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures. Skill in accurate data entry, record organization, and proofreading. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar workplace applications. Ability to organize assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and ask for guidance when needed.
High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency required. Prior work experience is not required.
