Join the National Institutes of Health-sponsored “Strengthening Arizona’s Biomedical Engineering Research Workforce” (SABER) program and play an important role in supporting faculty and staff with trainee recruitment, selection, lab matching, stipend coordination, training program activities, and reporting.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the successful administration of a research training program while working closely with faculty, staff, and trainees to support program activities and workforce development.

Duties & Responsibilities- With the guidance of the faculty program directors, provide administrative support with organizing and coordinating complex training grant activities, meetings, and program events, including agenda preparation, travel arrangements, and event logistics.
- Prioritize and follow up with meeting summaries to attendees to ensure timely workflow completion and alignment with departmental objectives.
- Provide administrative support for KEYS program recruitment activities during the academic year and for the Engineering cohort during the summer months, including preparing recruitment materials, scheduling outreach visits to dual-credit schools such as Introduction to Engineering Design courses, coordinating logistics for the Engineering cohort's activities, and assisting with scheduling and note-taking for SABER intern interviews.
- In consultation with the program directors, maintain and update a database of trainee information, including current and past accomplishments and activities, following established program guidelines.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for current and prospective trainees, applying knowledge of the training program requirements and addressing complex inquiries.
- Compose, edit, and review routine correspondence, presentation materials, and routine sponsor reports; assisting with complex administrative processes using extensive knowledge of university and sponsor guideline.
- Proficient with MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
