File Clerk

Description We are looking for a dependable File Clerk to support an automotive operation on a contract basis. This short-term opportunity is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling high volumes of paperwork and digital records. The person in this role will focus on organizing and scanning repair-related documents to help maintain accurate and accessible files during an equipment disruption.

Responsibilities:

- Scan repair orders and related paperwork into digital filing systems with a high level of accuracy

- Organize, sort, and prepare paper documents for imaging, storage, and retrieval

- Maintain orderly physical files, boxes, and archived records to support daily office operations

- Review documents for completeness and legibility before uploading or filing them

- Enter and classify files correctly within electronic and paper-based record systems

- Assist the team with clearing document backlogs caused by scanner downtime

- Retrieve requested files promptly and ensure records are returned to the proper location Requirements - Previous experience with document scanning, paper filing, or general clerical support

- Ability to manage physical files, file boxes, and electronic records in an organized manner

- Strong attention to detail when handling repair orders and other business documents

- Comfortable performing repetitive administrative tasks while maintaining accuracy

- Basic familiarity with e-filing practices and document management processes
