Position Summary
Finance & Risk Management Intern – Grants Finance Division (Unclassified, 1946 – Intern, Salary Grade
1). The internship is part‑time, in‑person, and in‑office. The role is open until filled.
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated part‑time intern to support grant financial activities for County departments. The intern will work in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment, gaining hands‑on experience with grant budgeting, financial reporting, data analysis, and compliance support. Responsibilities include extracting and analyzing data using tools such as Excel and other financial systems, providing insight into the full lifecycle of grant financial management, and assisting with various administrative and technical tasks as assigned.
Compensation- Hiring Range: $17.04 – $20.03 per hour
- Pay Range: $17.04 – $23.02 per hour

Minimum Qualifications- Recent graduate or current sophomore, junior, or senior at an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, business analytics, or a closely related field.

Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit only those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications. Candidates will be assessed based on education and experience, and may be further evaluated against preferred qualifications. Selected candidates will be interviewed and chosen from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Additional assessments or testing may be required.
Supplemental Information- Some positions require a valid Arizona Class D driver license at the time of application or appointment. Failure to obtain or maintain the required licensure may result in termination.
