A Senior Scheduler at Saylor is critical for developing, establishing, and maintaining all aspects of planning and scheduling efforts. Collaborates with project teams to ensure timely development of baseline schedules, provide schedule updates, and manage implementation throughout the life cycle of various project types. May manage more junior level staff.
RoleSenior Scheduler responsibilities include developing and maintaining project schedules, aligning with project goals, and supporting project teams throughout the lifecycle of multiple project types.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely development of baseline schedules, provide schedule updates, and manage implementation throughout the life cycle of various project types
- Assist project teams to ensure delays are adequately documented
- Develop contingency options with the team to accelerate schedule
- Review contracts for specific scheduling needs and profile critical timelines to ensure project schedules show appropriate detail based upon job site requirements
- Mentor junior Schedulers as needed
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or related field
- Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of experience including four (4) years of field construction experience on large ground-up projects and a minimum of six (6) years in project scheduling
- Experience working on public works and related public facilities/infrastructure projects
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6;
Primavera Unifier a plus - Ability to independently create schedules using a planner/builder mindset
- Comprehensive knowledge of building systems, construction techniques, practices and components
- Certifications: Scheduling certification by agencies such as AACE (PSP) or PMI strongly preferred
