Job Duties

This position requires 5 or more years of experience and mastery of commercial plumbing and wet side HVAC applications and design. The Plumber IV works closely with the General Foreman to develop project‑specific task plans for labor and material requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop solutions to prevent issues from becoming problems.
  • Review projects with the General Foreman, Superintendent, and/or Project Manager after equipment and subs are procured.
  • Conduct physical surveys of projects with the General Foreman and/or Superintendent to ascertain conditions and report back to PM in writing, if required.
  • Complete takeoffs for projects in a timely and thorough manner as requested.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise on‑site functions, including scheduling, material control, and rentals.
  • Provide daily job completion percentages.
  • Ensure all site personnel comply with project procedures, safety requirements, company policies, and other applicable requirements.
  • Document all incidents as they occur and notify the Project Manager and Field Leadership; recommend and implement corrective action.
  • Ensure all jobs have weekly reports filled and turned into the office weekly, including safety/toolbox reports, pre‑construction, weekly production reports, and any project‑specific reports.
  • Conduct inspections, assure jobs meet Pueblo Mechanical standards, and participate in start‑ups, coordinating with contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and owners as needed.
  • Oversee and direct crew work daily, cooperating with other team members as necessary.
  • Work directly with all other Field Leadership personnel and supervisors to ensure all site and crew activities are synchronized.
  • Delegate jobs to crew members based on their capabilities and project requirements.
  • Meet with supervisors and necessary personnel to resolve conflicts, complications, and other issues according to company and project requirements.
  • Train new crew members when they join the team and provide continuing education to meet the latest industry specifications.
Requirements
  • Five years’ experience and/or mastery of all technical aspects required for this position.
  • Ability to give direction and make decisions related to the company’s financial success.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to work in high‑stress conditions and quickly changing environments.
  • Commitment to increase team efficiency and uphold high safety standards at all times.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated and punctual.
  • Strong multitasking and follow‑up skills, both internally and externally.
  • Professional appearance and speech.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including frequent bending, lifting, standing, walking over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, and safely climbing ladders.
