Construction laborers may also work with irrigation materials and small engine machinery.

Construction laborers assist in clearing and grubbing, hand grading, digging plant holes, trenching and cleaning trenches, gluing pipe, running wires, back filling and covering pipe, spreading decomposed granite, keeping sites clear and clean, and performing a variety of other functions when requested.

Construction laborers work primarily outdoors but may occasionally work indoors. Laborers may work above ground or underground.
