As a Project Manager at Bourn Companies, you will lead the execution of construction activities that enable our larger projects to come to life. Acting as the owner’s representative, you will oversee contractors, coordinate across internal teams, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with Company standards.

This role blends strong construction execution with project management discipline—focused on delivering high-quality projects while maintaining alignment with broader project objectives and timelines.

The Team

The Project Management team is responsible for coordinating and executing projects across planning, design, and construction, with a strong emphasis on construction delivery and field execution.

In this role, you will partner closely with Development team, Construction leadership, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered in alignment with overall project goals.

How You’ll Spend Your Time Here
  • Lead construction activities execution across assigned projects
  • Serve as the Company’s on‑site representative, overseeing general contractors and subcontractors
  • Monitor contractor performance, schedules, and milestones to ensure alignment with project goals
  • Coordinate construction sequencing to support overall project timelines
  • Review plans for constructability, compliance, and Company standards
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and field issues
  • Support budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking, including pay applications
  • Lead construction meetings, field walks, and coordination sessions with contractors, engineers, and internal teams
  • Coordinate with municipalities, inspectors, and agencies for permits, inspections, and approvals
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Provide clear project updates and reporting to internal stakeholders
  • Support project closeout, including inspections, turnover, and documentation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in construction or project management, preferably across commercial or mixed‑use projects
  • Experience managing contractors and coordinating with consultants and municipalities
  • Proficiency with construction scheduling and project management tools (e.g., MS Project or similar)
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, permitting, and project controls
  • Willingness to be onsite regularly and travel to project locations as needed
