The Experienced Construction Laborer plays a vital role in supporting infrastructure projects by handling diverse construction tasks under direct supervision. Working primarily within small teams of 1-5 members, this role requires versatility in material handling, site preparation, equipment operation, and maintaining safety standards. The position involves occasional travel between nearby job sites and focuses on ensuring efficient and safe worksite operations.
Responsibilities- Handle materials and load/unload supplies on site
- Prepare construction sites including grading and cleanup
- Operate and maintain various construction equipment
- Perform demolition and concrete work tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- Support skilled trades as needed
- Maintain and care for construction tools
- Perform asphalt work including raking and saw cutting
- Conduct potholing, shoveling, and sweeping activities
- Minimum of 3 years experience in construction labor
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of construction safety standards
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Strong physical stamina for demanding labor
- Basic carpentry and concrete mixing skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Good communication skills
