Heavy Equipment Operators - Extended Travel Projects - AZ - TX - NM

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to join their team for projects across Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Operators will handle a variety of heavy mobile equipment on infrastructure and road construction projects, often requiring extended travel to remote locations. The ideal candidates are experienced, safety-focused, and adaptable to changing project needs and environments.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience (preferred)
• Completion of a recognized heavy equipment operator apprenticeship or equivalent combination of training and experience
• 3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment
• Knowledge of earthwork, road, and highway construction
• Ability to travel for extended periods and work temporary assignments at remote project locations
• Ability to work day, swing, and night shifts, including extended hours
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, squat, crawl, climb ladders, and work in awkward positions
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and safety-sensitive construction settings
• Commitment to safety and teamwork
