Sunland Asphalt and Construction, LLC. is seeking an experienced Roller Operator to join our growing team.

- Operate the roller and other heavy equipment for paving projects.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment and machinery.
- Coordinate and work with contractors, sub‑contractors, and vendors to complete jobs.
- Serve as a frontline company representative and provide excellent customer service.
- Work on the ground as needed.
- Work quickly, productively and safely to meet production goals as outlined by the foreman, superintendent and/or production manager.
- Follow direction of the foreman and/or superintendent regarding daily production schedule and activities.
- Advocate safety and follow safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in job‑site and safety meetings and all company-related training.
- Work with the foreman or crew leader to ensure the job site is safe and traffic is controlled prior to commencing work.
- Communicate effectively and maintain constant contact with other equipment operators, truck drivers and general laborers.
- Invoke Sunland’s core values.
- Report problems and malfunctioning equipment or machinery to supervisor or shop personnel.
- Set up and tear down equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean job site; pick up all tools and equipment and secure the site each day.
- Use hand tools such as rakes, shovels, wheel barrels, etc.
- Perform all other general laborer work as needed.
- Any and all duties assigned.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Six months to one year of related experience is preferred.
- Ability to speak, read and write English.
- Willingness to travel to any and all job sites without exception.
- A current driver’s license is preferred.
- Clean motor‑vehicle record if operating a company vehicle.
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
