Bilingual (Spanish) Patient Access / Call Center Representative

Location:

Tucson, AZ (Northwest Office)

Position Type:
Full-Time, Permanent

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)

Compensation:
From $18.00 per hour (Plus comprehensive benefits)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly professional, bilingual individual to join a premier, specialty medical practice as a Patient Access Representative. Operating out of our Northwest office, this role serves as the vital first point of contact for our patients. The successful candidate will manage incoming inquiries, coordinate scheduling, and deliver exceptional, empathetic customer service in both English and Spanish to ensure seamless patient care.

Core Responsibilities

  • Bilingual Patient Communication:
    Provide exceptional, compassionate customer service by addressing patient inquiries, questions, and concerns over the phone fluently in both English and Spanish.
  • Appointment Coordination:
    Utilize specialized medical scheduling software to accurately input, update, and manage patient appointments in accordance with clinic protocols.
  • Administrative Excellence:
    Demonstrate superior phone etiquette, active listening, and clear communication to foster a positive, supportive experience for patients and families.
  • Clinical Discretion & Data Integrity:
    Assist with basic medical terminology inquiries while strictly maintaining the confidentiality of patient health records (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Team

    Collaboration:

    Work dynamically alongside clinic staff, medical assistants, and administrative leadership to streamline service delivery and efficiently resolve complex patient requests.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Language Proficiency:
    Absolute fluency in both spoken and written English and Spanish is required.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Strong computer proficiency, including fast and accurate data entry, with the ability to easily navigate electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling platforms.
  • Experience:

    Previous experience working within an appointment scheduling capacity, medical call center, or healthcare office environment is highly preferred.
  • Professional Attributes:
    Proven multitasking abilities in a high-volume, lively environment, paired with strong organizational skills, patience, and a dependable work ethic.
