Job Description:
Under immediate supervision of certified teaching staff, subject specialists or Program Director of the school and/or physical therapist. Performs work of moderate difficulty assisting in the structured education of students with special needs within a regular classroom setting. Assignment may be with severely multiply impaired students of any grade level.
Hiring Pay Range: $19.23 - $20.41 per hour, DOE
.8125 FTE, 32.5 hours per week
10 months, 188 paid work days per year
Schedule:
Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 7:45am - 3:00pm (includes 30 minute unpaid meal break) Wednesdays 8:00am - 1:30pm (includes 15 minute break)
Minimum Qualifications Preferred:
Associates degree preferred and six (6) months of experience working with children that have special needs.
Special Requirements :
Must possess or have the ability to obtain Level I-IVPP Fingerprint Clearance card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety; CPR certificate and First Aid certificate are required within one (1) year of hire; must be willing to support feeding and toileting of students, with training.
