Early Childhood Teacher Assistant - PEEPS; -Until-Filled

Position: Early Childhood Teacher Assistant - PEEPS (Open-Until-Filled)
SUMMARY

Assists early childhood teachers in performing their classroom teaching responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Speak, read and write in English.

One year of experience working with youth or children.

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Associate's (or higher) degree OR

60 Semester-Hour credits from an accredited institution OR

AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test.

Copy of diploma, transcripts or test results must be submitted upon hire

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

AZ Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

CPR and First Aid Certification (required within 90 days of hire at employee's expense). Certification must be maintained current during course of employment.

A minimum of six units of formal Early Childhood training classes required OR must be willing to enroll in courses

* Borton Magnet Elementary School - 22nd St & Park Ave Area - .875 FTE - 7 hours per day

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
