Responsibilities & Responsibilities SummaryContributes to the acceleration of striving readers. Works extensively with students to improve specific reading skills. Consults with classroom teachers to design and implement interventions. Conducts assessments to identify students eligible for intervention services. Diagnoses reading strengths and weaknesses and matches these skills with appropriate techniques and materials to promote interest in reading.
Minimum RequirementsArizona Secondary 6-12 Certificate
Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
Proof of immunity to measles (rubeola) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Location: Multiple Locations – District-Wide
FTE: Varies. Typical Teacher FTE 1.0, 7.5 hours per day.
Work Calendar: 9.5 months – 207 days (212 days for new to district teachers)
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
