SUMMARY
Contributes to the acceleration of our striving readers. Works extensively with students to help improve specific reading skills. Consults frequently with classroom teachers to design and plan interventions. Conducts assessments to identify students eligible for intervention services. Diagnoses reading strengths and weaknesses and matches these skills with appropriate techniques and materials in order to promote interest in reading.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS- Arizona Secondary Certificate 6-12 with K-12 Reading Endorsement
- Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
- Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
- Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
EFFECTIVE SCHOOL YEAR
LOCATION: Multiple Locations – District-Wide
FTE: Varies. Typical Teacher FTE 1.0, 7.5 hours per day.
WORK CALENDAR: 9.5 months – 207 days (212 days for new to district teachers)
