SUMMARY
Contributes to the acceleration of our striving readers. Work extensively with students to help improve specific reading skills. Consult frequently with classroom teachers to design and plan interventions. Conduct assessments to identify students eligible for intervention services. Diagnose reading strengths and weaknesses and match these skills with appropriate techniques and materials in order promote interest in reading.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS- Arizona Elementary Certificate with K-8 or K-12 Reading Endorsement
- Arizona Secondary Certificate 6-12 with K-8 or K-12 Reading Endorsement
- Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Proof of immunity to measles and rubella, or proof of MMR immunization.
- Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
- Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

Varies. Typical Teacher FTE 1.0, 7.5 hours per day.
Work Calendar: 9.5 months – 207 days (212 days for new to district teachers)
