SUMMARY
Contributes to the acceleration of our striving readers. Works extensively with students to help improve specific reading skills. Consults frequently with classroom teachers to design and plan interventions. Conducts assessments to identify students eligible for intervention services. Diagnoses reading strengths and weaknesses and matches these skills with appropriate techniques and materials in order to promote interest in reading.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS- Arizona Elementary Certificate K‑8 with Reading Endorsement K‑8 or K‑12 Reading Endorsement
- Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
- Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
- Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
Effective for the 2026‑2027 school year.
Location:
Multiple Locations – District‑Wide.
FTE:
Varies. Typical Teacher FTE 1.0, 7.5 hours per day.
Work Calendar: 9.5 months – 207 days (212 days for new to district teachers).
BENEFITS & COMPENSATIONPosition is eligible for district benefits if the workload is 30 hours per week or more.
Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.
Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
