Job Description
Salary: $55k+ DOE
Thank you for your interest in Skyline Education! South Phoenix Prep and Arts Academy is looking for a certified special education teacher to work with our kindergarten through 4th grade population in Phoenix, AZ.
Requirements:
Teacher candidates must be certified, or in the process of being certified, by the Arizona Department of Education for Special Education, Cross-Categorical or Mild-Moderate disabilities is preferred. Candidates must also have an IVP Fingerprint Clearance card from the State of Arizona. Salary is dependent upon experience and we offer a comprehensive benefits package.
Candidates will have the opportunity to work alongside our strong Special Education professionals and collaborate with general education teachers in order to improve student outcomes and develop educators to reach all students. Our community is small and tight-knit that services the local neighborhood. South Phoenix has a growing caseload in grades K-6 to which we mostly serve through resource and itinerant models.
Collaboration and small group instruction will be imperative to provide the necessary specialized instruction for success for both the students and the staff. Due to our small size, the staff has a unique opportunity to build relationships with our students and families that extend many generations, who pride themselves on dedicating their time and energy to grow connections through support and positive interactions.
The Skyline South Phoenix campus is a tuition-free K-12 and paid PreK campus. It comprises a Preschool (Skyline Early Academic Center), K-4 charter school (South Phoenix Prep and Arts Academy), a 5-8 charter school (South Valley Prep and Arts School) and a 9-12 charter school (Skyline Prep High School). We focus on Academics, Arts, and Athletics to deliver a well-rounded education to students.
