UACE Tucson Village Farm Animal Educator

This position will have the Ameri Corps Volunteer serving with Tucson Village Farm’s Animal Education Center, assisting with the daily caretaking of our herd and facilitating educational programming. This position is ideal for someone who wants to work outdoors with volunteers in an arid, dry environment helping engage youth and the community with animals through education and demonstrations.

Ameri Corps Volunteers should enjoy active outdoor work and interacting with youth in a group setting. A successful Ameri Corps Volunteer will be enthusiastic, adaptable, dependable, and a strong team player.

• Assist with animal education programs.
• Lead community in animal programming.
• Assist with large events.
• Experience with youth & public working; ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions & lift over 50 pounds.
• Some night & weekend work.
