On-site | Pinnacle Charter Schools – Tucson Campus, Tucson, Arizona

This is not a remote role.

Pinnacle Charter Schools, operated by MGRM Pinnacle, is a Cognia-accredited network of charter schools serving students across Arizona since 1995. We offer a flexible, year-round instructional model that blends online learning with in-person academic support at our school sites. Our approach is built around personalized learning programs that allow students to move at their own pace—whether they are catching up, staying on track, or getting ahead through honors-level coursework and accelerated pathways.

We serve a diverse student population with varying academic goals and life circumstances. Our students have diverse academic goals—some benefit from additional support and flexibility, while others are motivated to accelerate, take on more rigorous coursework, or pursue a non-traditional path to graduation. At Pinnacle, we prioritize individualized learning, strong relationships, and meaningful academic progress.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable High School Teacher (On-Site Classroom Instructor) to join our Tucson Campus. In this role, you will work directly with students in a small-group, personalized learning environment, providing targeted instruction, enrichment, and academic coaching. What You'll Do
  • Provide daily on-site 1-on-1 and small-group instruction, supporting both foundational learning and advanced coursework.
  • Create a classroom environment that is structured, engaging, and responsive to diverse student needs.
  • Support students in staying on pace, accelerating progress, or deepening understanding through honors-level work.
  • Monitor academic progress and deliver targeted interventions or enrichment to ensure measurable student growth.
  • Build strong relationships with students to foster motivation, accountability, and confidence.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, academic progress, and interventions.
  • Support a small roster of online students with instruction, feedback, and progress monitoring.
  • Communicate regularly with students and families to support engagement and success.
  • Participate in outreach efforts to promote the school's programs, including flexible and accelerated learning pathways.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support school operations and student success.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (Master's or higher preferred).
  • Arizona Teaching Certificate in the relevant subject area, or the ability to obtain one. Highly qualified candidates with advanced degrees (Master's/PhD) or significant subject-matter expertise are encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated ability to support diverse learners across a range of academic levels, including students needing additional support as well as those pursuing accelerated or honors-level work.
  • Strong instructional skills with an emphasis on differentiation, individualized learning, and student-centered teaching practices.
  • Ability to build a structured yet flexible classroom environment that promotes both accountability and independence.
  • Comfort working in a non-traditional, blended learning model, including the use of learning management systems and digital tools.
