Overview
Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity. Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.
Responsibilities- Prepare lesson plans and deliver instruction to students
- Evaluate and monitor students’ performance to advance achievement
- Foster an inclusive environment and value diverse perspectives
- Collaborate with a team to plan instruction and improve instructional practices
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional learning
- Arizona Secondary Certificate with History Approved Area OR Social Studies Approved Area AND Bilingual Endorsement (Spanish approved area also required if teaching Spanish) OR Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6-12 with History Approved Area or Social Studies Approved Area AND Bilingual Endorsement (Spanish approved area also required if teaching Spanish)
- Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
- Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
- Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
- Effective: SCHOOL YEAR
- Location:
Pueblo High School – Ajo & 12th Ave Area - FTE: 1.0; 7.5 hours per day
- Work Calendar: 9.5 month
- Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits
- Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position
- Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language
