Admissions Recruiter, Transfer
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions seeks enthusiastic candidates who are interested in recruiting transfer students to the University of Arizona. This role is responsible for engaging directly with prospective students and families, with a special focus on prospective international transfer students. The Admissions Recruiter position fosters relationships with community colleges, international colleges and universities, counselors, administrators and advisers, community-based organizations, and other faculty and staff.
This role supports prospective students through the admissions process, including educational planning, paying for college, travel and visa requirements and more.
The Admissions Recruiter, Transfer is an effective communicator and creative problem solver, initiating proactive outreach efforts to prospective and incoming Wildcats. With the unique opportunity to manage a recruitment territory, this position is responsible for the administrative functions related to their role and proper expenditure of budget resources for recruitment activities, programs, and travel.
This position will allow for flexible/hybrid work arrangements. Some duties can be performed remotely, but others will require an in-person presence on the Tucson, Arizona campus.

ResponsibilitiesOutreach and Communication
- Acts as the point of contact and liaison to prospective students, counselors, parents and other constituents in one's assigned territory.
- Maintains a general understanding (through training and continuous research) of the University of Arizona's rankings, academic program offerings, application requirements, policies, and key selling points for all undergraduate degree programs; learning to speak to these selling points on an ongoing basis.
- Manage a personal and office email inbox.
- Manage a phone line for calling, texting, Whats App, etc.
- Respond in a personal and timely manner to all incoming student queries.
- Maintain an advising appointment calendar and meet regularly with students and families, in-person and virtually.
- Utilize one's cultural competency and communication skills to expertly execute verbal and written communications in a clear, concise manner.
- Engages in a high level of customer service and student support, seeking out proactive opportunities to support students and their recruitment territory through the enrollment journey.
Recruitment and Territory Management
- Supports the building of a comprehensive virtual and in-person recruitment plan that directly aligns with territory enrollment goals and has strong return on investment.
- Tracks progress towards goals and determines interventions and supports accordingly.
- Outreach, schedule and prepare virtual presentations for community colleges, universities, partners, parents and families, and EducationUSA staff based on the specific presentation needs.
- Prepare and submit travel requests, coordinate travel logistics, and maintain records of anticipated and actual recruitment travel expenses, including airfare, lodging, meals, and event-related costs.
- Book all travel needs, including flight, hotel, transportation, logistics, material shipment, etc. and maintain receipts for each booking.
- Plan and organize all recruitment activities, plan for sufficient material needs and expertly execute.
- Maintain positive, sustainable relationships with community college and university staff, counselors, faculty, etc. that support recruitment efforts in one's assigned territory.
Application Review
- Review and evaluate undergraduate applications, including transcripts, essays, recommendation letters, extracurriculars and exam scores to recommend admissions decisions.
