Join the Eller College of Management as a Graduate Career Coach and support a broad caseload of students from the Full-time MBA, Part‑time MBA, and specialized master’s programs in Marketing, Finance, Business Analytics, and MIS.

The Eller College offers professional development opportunities to our students at all levels. We craft and execute large- and small-scale events to reach dynamic audiences and provide individualized coaching to help students succeed. We measure performance through student engagement, and student internship and full-time placement rates.

Duties & Responsibilities Professional development Advising
  • Provide professional development advising to a specific caseload of students. This will entail counseling on all aspects of professional career goals, including job search, resume review, and interview preparation, as well as evaluation of employment offers.
  • Create career related learning experiences to be conducted in various formats, including individual sessions and group workshops, encompassing discussion and presentation formats.
  • Develop rapport with students in order to best understand and meet their needs.
  • Document student contact in Handshake for shared access by colleagues.
  • Maintain current knowledge of recruiting and hiring practices, employer needs, and trends affecting College of Management Masters students.
Student Engagement Project Based Initiatives
  • In collaboration with leadership, plan student engagement activities. Examples of major initiatives include teaching a career course and electronic newsletter creation with the objective of program communication.
  • Plan career focused programming, such as mock interviews, networking events, and career treks to cities of employment interest.
  • Student engagement activities will range in scope and scale, from small group coffee chats to signature events.
Outreach Project Based Initiatives
  • Develop and maintain a specialty network for a specific set of majors and industries. This will include connections with alumni, employers and program departments.
  • Engage network and organize events for career mentors and speaker panels. The involvement of professional leaders will provide a contemporary perspective, ultimately to support graduate students in their career goals.
  • Project based student engagement initiatives will be assigned to specific team members, for management and ownership.
Professional Development Excellence
  • Contribute to student professional development, continuous process improvement and innovation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Ability to solve problems a through drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue,requiring innovation and creativity.
  • Ability to provide information requiring significant explanation or interpretation.
  • Ability to work with moderate guidance.
  • General knowledge and use of principles, theories and concepts.
  • Competent in all job functions and has general understanding of the industry practices, technique sand standards.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
