Kingman Unified School District #20 invites you to apply for the following certified teaching position for the 2026-27 school year.

  • Position: PreK-6th Physical Education Teacher
  • Campus: Mt. Tipton
  • School Year: 2026-27 (July 08, 2026 – May 19, 2027)

Compensation
  • Base Pay: KUSD's minimum and maximum new hire salary ranges for teachers include the district's contracted salary, determined by years of experience and higher education, plus state‑funded Prop 301 money. The contracted salary in combination with $9,000 in 301 money creates the base wages for teachers, which are represented by the salary ranges.
    • Up to four years of teaching experience: $46,075 – $55,975.
    • Four or more years of teaching experience: $48,075 – $57,975.
  • Performance Pay: In addition to base pay, certified teaching staff are eligible for an additional $4,500 in Prop 301 performance pay.
  • One‑Time Critical Needs Stipends: (all critical needs stipends are pending appropriate teaching certification)
    • Mathematics, science, and kindergarten positions may be eligible for a one‑time $2,000 stipend.
    • Special education positions may be eligible for a one‑time $5,000 stipend.
  • Available Annual Stipends: (annual stipends are pending appropriate teaching certification)
    • Special education teachers are eligible for a case management stipend in FY 2026‑27 of up to $4,000.
    • Special education teachers in ED‑P classrooms are eligible for a stipend in FY 2026‑27 of $10,000.
To Qualify
  • Bachelor's degree or more advanced degree from an accredited institution.
  • Identity Verified Print (IVP) fingerprint clearance card through Arizona Department of Public Safety, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
  • Teaching certification through Arizona Department of

    Education:

    Elementary Certificate with an approved area of Physical Education, OR PreK‑12 Physical Education Certificate, OR Teaching Certificate with a Physical Education, PreK‑12 Endorsement.
  • SEI, ESL or Bilingual endorsement issued by Arizona Department of Education, within one year of hire.
  • Alternative pathway: individuals with a Bachelor’s or higher degree who enroll in an approved teacher preparation program and obtain an Alternative Teaching Certificate to be eligible for hire.
