Summary

Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor student performance to advance achievement. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, understand and appreciate diversity, and collaborate with a team to plan instruction. ELD teacher duties may also include AZELLA testing and other ADE compliance requirements for English Learners and PHLOTE students.

• Arizona Elementary Certificate with Middle Grades Language Arts or English (Approved Area) OR Arizona Middle Grades Certificate with Middle Grades Language Arts or English (Approved Area) OR Arizona Secondary Certificate with Middle Grades Language Arts or English (Approved Area) OR Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6‑12 with English (Approved Area) AND Arizona SEI (Structured English Immersion) Endorsement OR Spanish‑Bilingual Endorsement OR ESL Endorsement
• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization

• Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
• Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

• FTE: 0.6 – 4.5 hours per day
• Work Calendar: 9.5 months

• Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
