Assistant Director, Professional Development

The Eller College of Management’s Undergraduate Programs Office seeks a professional with effective leadership and communication skills to manage a team of career coaches and lead professional development initiatives that support student career outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day delivery of career development programs including workshops, career education, and student‑facing services.
  • Provide individual and group advising to students regarding experiential learning, internship placement, and career readiness.
  • Facilitate placement of students in positions related to their academic major and promote experiential learning postings.
  • Conduct outreach to current and prospective students to promote benefits of experiential learning.
  • Guide students with resume and cover letter critiques and job‑search strategies.
  • Lead training and professional development for the career coaching team.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, employers, and internal stakeholders to market experiential learning and support program objectives.
  • Oversee collection, maintenance, and analysis of student career data and produce reporting on program effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or equivalent advanced learning.
  • Relevant experience providing career coaching to business students.
  • Familiarity with eSMS and Handshake.
Salary & Benefits

Salary: $65,687 – $85,393 (annual). Full‑time, FTE 1.0. Benefits eligible:
Full benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, tuition reduction for employee and qualified family members, and recreation and cultural activities.

Employment Details

Full time, 40 hours per week, fiscal work calendar. FLSA:
Exempt. Visa sponsorship not available. The position requires in-person work with flexible options. Some evening and weekend hours required.
