Job Summary:
Join our team as a dedicated Special Education Teacher in Avondale, Arizona, where you will work with students who have diverse learning needs and disabilities. This role involves developing personalized education plans, collaborating closely with educators and specialists, and fostering an inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and social growth of every student.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Adapt and create instructional materials to meet the unique learning needs of each student.
- Provide direct instruction and support in various educational settings, including inclusive classrooms and small group settings.
- Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure coordinated and prehensive support for students.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies to facilitate academic and behavioral growth.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, attendance, and behavior.
- Implement positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) to promote a positive and supportive classroom environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Arizona teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement (cross-categorical or specific disability area).
- Knowledge of best practices in special education, including IEP development and differentiated instruction.
- Strong interpersonal and munication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.

- Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience working with students with specific disabilities such as autism spectrum disorders, emotional disabilities, or intellectual disabilities.
