Overview

Teacher, Middle School – ELD (Effective  SCHOOL YEAR) – Utterback Middle School of the Arts, Tucson, Arizona. This position prepares lesson plans, instructs students, and evaluates student progress in an inclusive learning environment.

• Develop and deliver ELD instruction aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet learning needs.
• Complete AZELLA testing and adhere to ADE compliance requirements for English Learners and PHLOTE students.
• Collaborate with instructional team members to plan and coordinate instruction.
• Engage in continuous professional learning activities to improve instructional practice.

• Arizona Elementary Certificate with Middle Grades Language Arts or English Approved Area
• OR Arizona Middle Grades Certificate with Middle Grades Language Arts or English Approved Area
• OR Arizona Secondary Certificate with Middle Grades Language Arts or English Approved Area
• OR Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6-12 with English Approved Area
• Arizona SEI, Spanish-Bilingual, or ESL Endorsement
• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

• Demonstrated success engaging African American and Latino students
• Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella or proof of MMR immunization

• FTE: 1.0 – 7.5 hours per day, 9.5-month work calendar
• Salary: $48,400 to $55,900 per year (prorated if start after first day)
