• Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity. Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.
• Prepare lesson plans and instruct students in accordance with established curriculum and student needs.
• Assess student needs and performance. Develop, implement, and evaluate daily lesson plans, including activities and materials. Modify instruction to meet the needs of each child.
• Plan, organize, and display classroom materials appropriate to curricular activities. Use classroom management techniques to maintain organization, orderliness, student safety, and a productive learning environment. Plan instructions and implement instructional techniques to encourage and motivate students. Evaluate students’ performance and adjust as needed. Inform parents of evaluation methods and student progress.
• Collaborate with instructional team and specialists as needed to support student learning. Adhere to laws and district policies. Perform other duties as assigned.

• Arizona Elementary Certificate with Art K-12 Endorsement OR Arizona Middle Grades Certificate with Art Approved Area or Art K-12 Endorsement OR Arizona Secondary Certificate with Art Approved Area or Art K-12 Endorsement OR Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6-12 with Art Approved Area OR Arizona Arts Education
  - Art PreK-12 Certificate
• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

• Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
• Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

• FTE: 1.0 (7.5 hours per day)
• Work Calendar: 9.5 month
• Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
• Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.
