Adjunct Lecturer - LING 104A

The University of Arizona's Department of Linguistics invites you to apply to the role of Adjunct Lecturer. In this role you will teach LING / AIS 104A First year Diné Bizaad (Navajo Language) (First semester of the language sequence). The Department of Linguistics at University of Arizona offers undergraduate and graduate programs in linguistics, human language technology, and Native American linguistics, with faculty expertise spanning a wide range of subfields and languages.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Teach LING/AIS 104A, first-semester university level Diné Bizaad (Navajo language) courses, including practice in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Design materials for this class, and develop an appropriate teaching methodology for the class.

Minimum Qualifications:

Fluent speaker of Navajo, background in Linguistics or related area (ie: American Indian Studies) Masters Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous Diné Bizaad teaching experience Ph.D
