Collaborates with district staff, parents and students using culturally responsible strategies and interventions to encourage students to stay in school. This position works with the Drop Out Prevention Department to provide information to staff, students, and families as needed under the direct supervision of the Drop Out Prevention Administrator and/or Coordinator.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or a related field
AND
Two (2) years of experience working in social services, or adolescent prevention programs, or a related field
OR
Associate’s (or higher) degree or completion of two years (60 Semester-Hour credits) of study at an institution of higher learning AND
Three (3) years experience working in social services, or adolescent prevention programs, or a related field
OR
Completion of an AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test
AND
Six (6) years experience working in social services, or adolescent prevention programs, or a related field - Verbal and written communication skills in English, and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
- Availability to work flex hours as needed, to include evenings and/or weekends
- FBI fingerprint background check (at employee’s expense)
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
- Valid Driver’s License
- MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services
- Transportation by Employees - Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services
- Transportation by Employees - Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department
- Experience tutoring

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
