Make an impact in education by supporting students with visual impairments as a full-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired on a travel contract basis near Chandler, AZ. Your expertise will contribute to a collaborative environment where learning is accessible for all. You'll work closely with students, classroom teachers, and families to adapt curricula and provide individualized instruction.

• Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI), or eligibility to obtain
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education of the Visually Impaired or related field
• Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments in educational settings
• Strong skills in braille, orientation and mobility, assistive technology, and curriculum adaptation
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

• Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments in accordance with IEP goals
• Assess and document student needs, progress, and accommodations
• Collaborate with general and special education staff to adapt materials and strategies
• Support students with orientation, mobility, daily living skills, and assistive technology
• Engage with families and other professionals to facilitate student success and independence
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
