The Pinal County Cooperative Extension Office is seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual to fill the position of Community Outreach Assistant III. The Community Outreach Assistant III independently plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates community-based educational programs that promote lifelong learning and the improvement of nutrition, health, physical activity, and home management practices for limited-income adults, families, and youth throughout Pinal County.

This position develops and implements outreach and recruitment strategies, cultivates partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders, and supports program administration through data management, reporting, and program evaluation activities. Working with minimal supervision, the incumbent exercises independent judgment to address community needs, enhance participant engagement, and ensure successful implementation of Cooperative Extension programs.

As part of the Pinal County Cooperative Extension team, this position supports the mission of connecting communities to University-based research and educational resources that improve quality of life and strengthen communities across the county.

This position requires the ability to travel to different locations in Pinal County to deliver the EFNEP nutrition classes.

• Independently plan, coordinate,and deliver approved nutrition, healthy living, physical activity,and home management education programs for eligible adults, families, and youth throughout
  
  Pinal County.
• Exercise judgment in adapting teaching methods, scheduling, and outreach strategies to meet participant and community needs while ensuring compliance with EFNEP and University of Arizona program requirements.
• Evaluate participant progress and recommend strategies to improve program engagement and outcomes.

• Independently monitor, maintain,analyze, and report participant and program data utilizing establishedEFNEP and University reporting systems.
• Conduct participant assessments,track performance measures, identify data discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and achievement of program objectives.
• Maintain and complete all forms required by EFNEP and the University.

• Develop and implement outreach and recruitment strategies to identify andengage eligible adults, families,and youth.
• Assess community needs, gather preliminary participant information, and establish relationships with community organizations, schools, and agencies to expand program visibility and participation throughout the service area.

• Establish, maintain, and coordinate relationships with community partners, service providers, and stakeholders tosupport program objectives.
• Serve as a resource regardingEFNEP services, assist in resolving outreach and participant issues, and recommend opportunities to strengthen partnerships and improve program delivery.

• Participate in required trainings and professional development activities and apply acquired knowledge to enhance program effectiveness.
• Provide guidance, training support, and mentoring to less experienced staff as assigned.
• Collaborate with program leadership and team members to develop solutions, improve processes, and achieve program goals.
