We are hiring for an Electrical Engineer position that will support the Test Engineering & Electronics (TEE) team.
Position Type: Full‑Time Contract
Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Location: Tucson, Arizona (onsite)
As an Electrical Engineer, you will:
Position Responsibilities- Design, develop, and integrate products within TEE in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Develop engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawings, schematics and circuit design/analysis for power, RF chain and error‑budget modeling.
- Carry out all stages of test product development, manage technical, cost and schedule of assigned projects and resolve design implementation issues.
- Hands‑on design using the latest technology and tools to integrate state‑of‑the‑art test solutions with advanced engineering systems.
- Design interface assemblies and integrate with test instruments and environments for comprehensive test systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM and a minimum of eight (8) years of prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree and five (5) years of experience.
- Experience with electrical engineering design, troubleshooting, analysis and testing.
- Experience with commonly used EDA tools – Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic.
- Experience with test equipment – Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, Power Meters.
- Proficient in schematic capture tools and interpretation.
- Master’s degree (ABET preferred).
- Technical leadership in multidisciplinary teams.
- Analog, digital and/or RF design experience.
- Design, testing, and integration of digital, mixed‑signal and electrical system interconnects.
- Use of IDEs and debugging tools for software troubleshooting.
- Self‑starter who manages workload to meet deadlines.
- Team‑orientation and excellent technical writing.
- Ability to lead single‑ or multi‑discipline teams.
- Bid and proposal experience.
- Computer architecture and hardware optimization knowledge.
- Experience with programming language development and implementation.
- Troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis competence.
Pay Range: $85–$90 per hour (subject to education, experience, location and duties).
