Overview
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire. Solidus is seeking an Electrical Engineer for an on-site role based in Tucson, AZ.
Schedule:
9/80 work schedule.
- Design, develop, and integrate test products within Test Equipment in multidiscipline engineering teams.
- Develop both engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis to include but not limited to: power analysis, RF chain analysis, and error budget analysis.
- Contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development, and be responsible for performing technical, cost and schedule management of assigned projects.
- Act, either as part of a team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products.
- Join an organization responsible for developing test solutions for all products.
- Responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test.
- Design with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state-of-the-art test solutions with advanced engineering systems.
- Design interface assemblies, select and integrate with test instruments and environments, to develop a test system for all products.
- Core activities may be performed for both lab engineering and factory production test systems.
- Contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development and help maintain the technical, cost and schedule aspects of assigned projects.
- Act, either as part of a team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Willingness to undergo comprehensive background investigation and pass a polygraph exam.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Two (2) years of prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree.
- Experience with electrical engineering including troubleshooting, analysis, and test.
- Experience with commonly used electrical engineering design and analysis tools (e.g., Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic).
- Experience with commonly used test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, power meters).
- Ability to use schematic capture tools and interpret schematics.
- Cultural fit within a collaborative team environment.
- Master of Science degree in STEM; ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.
- Ability to provide technical leadership in a multidiscipline team environment.
- Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF design.
- Experience designing, testing, and integrating digital, mixed-signal, and electrical system interconnects.
- Experience utilizing integrated development environments and debugging tools to troubleshoot software.
- Self-starter who can manage workload to meet deadlines.
- Team-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead single- or multi-discipline teams of engineers; project management and bid/proposal experience.
- Knowledge of computer architecture and hardware optimization techniques.
- Experience with developing and implementing programming languages.
- Ability to adapt existing designs to interface with new units under test (UUTs) and configurations when necessary; experience with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
Benefit selection, customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies, certifications, and clearance status will influence the final salary. Full benefits: $89,000 to $111,000 annually. Reduced benefits (no medical, dental, vision):
Up to $121,000 annually.
