What are the main functions of this role?
  • Design, develop, and integrate engineering and production test systems, including schematics, circuits, cabling, and test interface hardware.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting, analysis, and root cause investigation using tools like oscilloscopes, DMMs, and network analyzers.
  • Collaborate with multidiscipline teams to support full lifecycle test product development from design through integration and validation.
  • Manage technical tasks, cost, and schedule for assigned test equipment projects.
  • Adapt and integrate existing designs to interface with new units under test (UUTs) and resolve issues independently or as part of a team.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will:
  • Design, develop, and integrate advanced test equipment solutions across Raytheon product lines, supporting both engineering lab and factory production environments
  • Collaborate within multi-discipline engineering teams to deliver end-to-end test systems, from concept through deployment
  • Design and develop test interface adapters, cabling, schematics, and technical drawings using industry-standard tools
  • Perform circuit design, analysis, troubleshooting, and validation for analog, digital, mixed-signal, and RF systems
  • Select, integrate, and operate state-of-the-art test instruments, including oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, and power meters
  • Utilize schematic capture and ECAD tools such as Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, and Creo Schematic
  • Manage technical performance, cost, and schedule for assigned projects throughout the test product lifecycle
  • Investigate, identify, and resolve system-level issues and root causes, working independently or as part of a team
  • Leverage existing test designs to support new Units Under Test (UUTs) and evolving configurations
  • Provide technical leadership, documentation, and formal presentations to stakeholders when required

This is 12 months Full-time contract with possible hire opportunity.

Clearance Required:
Active Secret clearance

Required Skills
  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and three (3) years of relevant experience
  • Experience with electrical engineering design to include troubleshooting, analysis, and test
  • Experience with commonly used electrical engineering design and analysis tools including but not limited to:
    Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic
  • Experience with commonly used test equipment including but not limited to:
    Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, Power Meters
  • Experience using schematic capture tools and interpreting schematics
Qualifications we prefer
  • Master of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
  • Ability to provide technical leadership in a multidiscipline team environment
  • Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF design
  • Experience designing, testing, and integrating digital, mixed signal, and electrical system interconnect
  • Experience utilizing integrated development environments and debugging tools to troubleshoot software
  • Self-starter and able to manage workload to meet assigned deadlines
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Proficient technical writing and formal presentation experience
  • Ability to lead single- or multi-discipline teams of engineers
  • Bid and proposal experience
  • Knowledge of computer architecture and computer hardware optimization techniques
  • Experience with developing and implementing programming languages
  • Utilize existing designs as a starting point to interface with new units under test (UUTs) and UUT configurations when necessary
  • Experience with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
Pay Range

Pay Range: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour.

* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
