I&C Designer

Brunel is currently searching for an I&C Designer for a contract to direct position with our client. Location of role can be either Denver, Colorado OR Tucson, Arizona
.

We are seeking an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Designer to support the detailed engineering design of a mineral processing plant.

Responsibilities:

• Develop control systems for mineral processing facilities.
• Prepare and create deliverables including loop drawings, communications network diagrams, instrument location plans, termination drawings, plant control system layouts, cable tray and conduit routing diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Perform design and drafting using advanced modeling and assembly practices within a 3D CAD (Smart Plant) I&C environment.
• Work under the direction of Electrical Engineers to create drawings from conceptual layout to detailed construction packages.
• Apply knowledge of electrical codes and standards in all design work.
• Coordinate design with other engineering disciplines.
• Perform assignments with independent judgment and accuracy, ensuring consistency of deliverables across departments.

Requirements:

• Electrical Drafting and Designer diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA, NEMA, and API.
• Proficiency in 3D Design (Smart Plant 3D preferred) and SPI (Smart Plant Instrumentation preferred).
• Strong technical competence and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Client-facing experience.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. TN visa can be considered.

Offer:

Position is offered on contract with the goal of direct hire within 6 months. During the contract period, you will be offered medical, dental, and vision benefits that start on your first day of employment. Once direct, you will be offered a full benefits program where basic coverage is 100% employer-paid along with a generous 401K matching program. Based on years of experience, this role can offer compensation between $59,000-$100,000.

Seeking local candidates to Denver or Tucson. Relocation package only offered once hired direct. This role offers a hybrid work environment with 3 days in office/2 days wfh. May also involve site travel visits.
