We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Coyote Effector Systems Failure Investigation Lead role to join our team in Tucson, AZ. In this role, you will direct comprehensive analyses of failures to determine root causes, ensure system safety, prevent failure recurrence by coordinating teams, analyzing data, and recommending corrective actions to enable reliable performance. What You Will Do:
  • Lead a multi-disciplined engineering team through failure investigations
  • Oversee and execute data collection in support of the failure investigation
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis and communicate status to program leadership
  • Provide recommendations on changes to design, operation strategy, and test strategy to eliminate failure recurrences
  • Execute as the program point of contact for all failure investigation
  • Generate thorough test reports of investigation findings and recommendations
  • Review technical documentation for accuracy and compliance with existing standards with the ability to identify concerns, suggest solutions, and follow through to closure.
  • This position may require up to 10% travel during periods that include field test execution.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with system level design and/or failure investigations.
  • Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with hardware and software integration, preferably on military platforms
  • Experience with lab environment, electrical troubleshooting, utilization of lab equipment and hardware builds.
  • Experience working as the lead or team member of an Integrated Product Team
  • Experience with failure investigations and/or RCCA’s (Root Cause Corrective Action).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of MS Office tools, and experience in the preparation and presentation of briefing material.
  • Ability to review technical documentation for accuracy and compliance with existing standards with the ability to identify concerns, suggest solutions, and follow through to closure.
