As the
** Automation Engineering Specialist,
** you will be responsible for managing the product strategy and portfolio management for the Autonomy & Automation Operator Augmentation products, potentially including Drive-by-Wire, Operator Assist and Fleet Management Solutions, serving mining and construction customers. This individual will work with commercial managers to define market constraints, product capabilities, and features to achieve market and business objectives. Manage multi-generational product plans. Work closely with strategists and engineering to define and execute product roadmaps that drive customer success.

* What You Will Do:

*** Lead product strategy definition working with key stakeholders.
* Define and maintain multi-generational product plans.
* Document and drive decisions on product capabilities and features required to meet commercial and business objectives.
* Support product launches including schedule, scope, budget and resource plans.
* Drive resolution for critical roadblocks that could derail project execution.
* Conduct stakeholder reviews of product strategies and execution.
* Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.
** What You Have (Basic Requirements):
*** Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering/Industrial Automation or equivalent technical degree.
* ** Communicating Complex Concepts:
** Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.
