Our Technology Center is home to a team of globally recognized engineers and scientists who provide innovative mining, processing and environmental solutions to our operations worldwide. Employees use state‑of‑the‑art laboratories and test facilities, including a fully automated analytical lab – the first of its kind in the Americas. They provide direct support in mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, analytical chemistry, mineralogy, process economics, mining and geology.

As a technical leader, provide guidance, expertise, and mentorship for engineering projects, technical challenges, and programs. Define and drive leading practice and transfer of technical expertise and knowledge. Contribute subject‑matter expertise in a relevant discipline as needed to improve outcomes, projects, and programs. Demonstrate a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding complex programs and activities.

Interpret theory and practice to senior leadership to aid in decision-making. Identify solutions and make recommendations based on technical expertise and opinion.

• Lead, review, investigate, and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned engineering projects and/or technical challenges within specific technical discipline and across adjacent disciplines.
• Actively align engineering efforts with the organization’s strategic goals and contribute to the development of long‑term technical strategies.
• Communicate with others such that it leads to influence and change in strategy and execution. Clear and effective communicator to lay and expert audiences alike, and within the technical discipline.
• Consistently demonstrate exceptional technical skills and expertise, making significant contributions to complex projects.
• Identify and solve challenging technical problems, driving valuable outcomes.
• Actively participate in relevant industry events, conferences, training – staying up‑to‑date with the latest advancements and trends and recommending new practices or changes to programs based on state of practice developments.
• Lead, collaborate and influence site and/or project management regarding strategy and execution of engineering projects and in addressing technical challenges to ensure standards are met and improvements are implemented.
• Identify and promote opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes, products or systems and evaluate opportunities in terms of readiness, suitability, and risk.
• Identify opportunities and provide input for strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated engineering areas.
• Act as a mentor, coach and guide for developing talent to achieve objectives across multiple disciplines. Motivate peers and team members.
• Perform other duties as requested.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related engineering discipline and ten (10) years of experience in related engineering field; OR
• Master’s degree in Engineering or related engineering discipline and eight (8) years of experience in related engineering field; OR
• PhD in Engineering or related engineering discipline and six (6) years of experience in related engineering field.
• Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering.
• Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $134,000-$187,500. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus…
