Overview
As a Program Supplier Quality Engineer at Raytheon, you will be the primary interface between our supplier base and internal stakeholders on critical and technically advanced DoD programs. This onsite role is located in Tucson, Arizona, with up to 25% travel to support supplier assessments, audits, and reviews.
Responsibilities- Ensure flow down of product requirements to suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and statement of work.
- Interpret program requirements so the supply base understands and complies with quality specifications.
- Drive continuous product and process improvements of the supply base by identifying supplier risk, systemic performance issues, and applying tools such as Root Cause Corrective Actions, Six Sigma, Lean, and other improvement methodologies.
- Apply APQP processes related to supplier performance and implement necessary engagements to enhance supplier manufacturing processes.
- Represent quality during review boards covering changes to supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews.
- Managing a complex supplier base across Electrical, Mechanical, Energetic, and other fields.
- Expanding APQP knowledge and experience.
- Engagement with critical external stakeholders, including DCMA.
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (DoD Secret).
- Six Sigma, Lean, and/or American Society for Quality certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.).
- Audit experience, internally or externally.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with multiple suppliers/customers.
- Experience in DoD product and process oversight: requirements, build, integration, test, and delivery.
- Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100, AS9145, PPAP (AS9102), and preventative tools such as SPC, FMEA, QFD, PPAP, Lean Manufacturing, Control Plans.
- Knowledge of industry technical standards (ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.).
- Technical engineering and strong communication skills with influence and self‑management.
- Salary range: USD 68,900 – 131,100.

Onsite in Tucson, Arizona. Some travel (up to 25%) may be required for supplier assessments, audits, and reviews.
Security ClearanceRequires active DoD Secret clearance. The position requires a security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain an interim U.S. government‑issued security clearance before the start date.
