Position
Principal Systems Engineer – Modeling Simulation & Analysis Engineer
LocationOnsite in Tucson, AZ
Security ClearanceRequires a U.S. government issued Secret Clearance (interim obtainable prior to start date). U.S. citizenship is required.
What You Will Do- Create high‑fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support.
- Develop and implement modeling solutions; conduct trade studies and evaluate system/subsystem performance.
- Work in a team environment, receiving input from supervisors and providing guidance to other members.
- Collaborate with Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC), Signal Processing, and other personnel to perform simulation activities according to the program schedule.
- Lead work on various projects, develop approaches, and provide guidance throughout the product lifecycle.
- Provide technical expertise for specific program simulation products and assist Senior Modeling Engineers in detailed planning; may interact with government counterparts as an authority.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
- Minimum eight years of relevant experience.
- Experience applying object‑oriented software design in C++ or C, and using MATLAB or Python for data evaluation.
- Experience developing or simulating physical systems.
- Proficiency in modeling, simulation, statistics, or analysis for engineering solutions.
- Experience as a functional or technical lead within an engineering environment.
- Ability to obtain an interim Secret U.S. government issued Security Clearance prior to start date.
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
- Leadership experience managing others using system engineering principles.
- Experience creating and presenting technical briefings.
- Experience developing signal processing / GNC algorithms or models for missile applications.
- Experience with control hardware design & test and/or hardware & software integration.
- Experience modeling physics or flight dynamics for missile systems.
- Proficiency with UNIX / Linux workstations and Software Configuration Management tools such as Git.
- Background in radar, signal & image processing, EO/IR environment modeling, digital communications, probability & statistics, linear algebra, estimation theory, optimal control, system architecture, inertial navigation, or guidance theory.
- Competitive salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD.
