Raytheon engineers develop the next generation of defense technologies that support our military and protect our nation and allies. We leverage simulation‑driven virtual environments to create cutting‑edge weapons systems and AI/ML solutions. This onsite role in Tucson, AZ requires an active U.S. government issued Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
What You Will Do- Execute and analyze simulations in a high‑performance computing environment, including GPU usage, to support missile system design, trade studies, performance assessment, and system testing.
- Collaborate within a team to develop data analyses for specific tasks and provide insight into system performance, troubleshooting anomalies observed in simulation results.
- Ensure solutions meet defined requirements through rigorous verification and validation, utilizing data from system‑level flight testing.
Must Have
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
- Experience applying object‑oriented software design in C++ or C, and using MATLAB or Python for data evaluation.
- Experience developing or simulating physical systems.
- Experience modeling, simulation, statistics, or analysis for existing or proposed engineering solutions.
- 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
- Active, transferable U.S. government issued Secret clearance required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required.
- College coursework covering object‑oriented programming with proficiency in Linux or Unix.
- Knowledge of radar, signal & image processing, digital communications, control theories, estimation theory, and/or electro optics.
- Knowledge of physics, random variables, and their application to solving engineering problems.
- Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA.
